Artisan Update


I managed to find a copy of the 'Artisan Bread in 5 Minutes a day' recipe online before the book arrived and made up a batch on Tuesday evening. I baked the first batch this morning , this one was done in a loaf tin and used approx 1.5lbs of dough, it tastes amazing and definitely has that sourdough flavour and a lovely chewy crust. I think next time I will use a bigger piece of dough as this wasn't really big enough to make sandwiches with , but thats all part of the experimentation process I guess. The book arrived yesterday , so lots of bedtime reading done last night,I am going to end up the size of a bus at this rate! Will try a bigger loaf tomorrow and I am going to attempt an olive fougasse too.
